Sensational findings by the British resistance movement: Axis invasion plan for the United States of America unveiled!
According to the disclosed designs, the ludicrous “Operation Humpback Whale” has been on the drawing board at the dictator’s palace for quite some time. The alleged operation’s aim is the invasion of North America with a giant fleet of submarines and aircraft carriers. Reportedly, the navy is first to capture East Coast seaports like Boston and Norfolk. From these bridgeheads, ground troops are to advance into the interior and overrun the industrial cities in the Great Lakes region. The Japanese allies, according to the scheme, would simultaneously attack the military port of Pearl Harbor to render a crushing blow to the U.S. Pacific Fleet and to relieve pressure on the Germans in the Atlantic theatre.

Both Germany and Japan promptly dismissed these reports as “ridiculous”. Government officials in Berlin professed indignation at these allegations and repeatedly denied having any interest in an invasion of America. The New World was far off, and there was nothing of interest there for the Aryan race. It was stated by the Ministry for Popular Enlightenment and Propaganda that the United States of America appeared to overestimate their own significance if they thought that the greatest dictator of all time entertained that level of interest in them. Moreover, Germany was extremely grateful to the United States for keeping out of the war, it was said: after all, the subjugation of all of Europe would not have been possible otherwise.

Japan denounced alleged plans for bombing the strategically insignificant port of Pearl Harbor as absurd: Tokyo let it be known that "such a maneuver brings no honor and is of no use to anyone"

U.S. President Continues to Pursue Isolationist Policies
The White House seemed unperturbed by the sensational discovery of the German invasion plans. The President emphasized his resolve to continue his isolationist foreign policy in mutual agreement with Congress and Senate. He stated that careful examination of the alleged plans would reveal that in the wake of its Eurasian conquests, Germany did not nearly possess an army of adequate size to seize control of the American continent. The US government affirmed its willingness to lend credence to the denials from Berlin and Tokyo, since everyone agreed an invasion of the United States of America was unthinkable. As US President Dewey sees it, U.S. isolationism was proven to work during the last war in Europe. As a result, the President considers it unacceptable to risk the good relations between the US, occupied Europe and Japan only on the basis of “scaremongering” by dubious and uncertified sources.
