The German headquarters in occupied Britannia will be a copy of the magnificent Hall of Fame which now takes shape in Berlin (soon to be Germania’s world capital). According to secret plans of the “General Building Inspector for the Provincial Capital“ obtained by our reporters, numerous ostentatious buildings will be built in London.
As a preliminary building measure, the Minor Hall of Fame of the English People will be constructed in Southwark, along the south bank of the River Thames. The Column of Victory on Trafalgar Square has already been demolished and will be replaced by a memorial for the defeated. Furthermore, the new city plan envisages a straightening of the Thames and an Autobahn ring around the “Capital of the Province of Britannica”. This will entail the demolition of 60,000 apartments and the forced relocation of their inhabitants. According to a handwritten note on the margin of the plan, the destruction from the air raids of the Blitz has already paved the way for the demolition of the area.
The Reich administration in Buckingham Palace vehemently denies the existence of these plans, claiming that the necessary rebuilding of Buckingham Palace had only just been completed and the opening festivities of the new residence would take place shortly. The administration had no intention to shift within the next decade and curtly commented that such rumours were, “surely an example of the famous British humor.” A renewed curfew was imposed as a preemptive measure and house searches were conducted at the residence of the usual suspects. Due to the new reprisals, observers expect that the dispersed English resistance will flare up again.
