F1® 2019 wins Best Racing Game at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2019
Last week, Codemasters was awarded Best Racing Game for F1® 2019 at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2019 at a stunning ceremony in London’s Natural History Museum.
For the third year running, the official F1® game by Codemasters has taken the top prize in this category. F1® 2019’s emphasis on realism earned glowing reviews across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from critics and players alike.
“It is an incredible achievement by the studio to win Best Racing Game three years in a row. Every year we strive to create the most authentic F1® experience and F1® 2019 has been incredibly well received by our players and critics,” said Lee Mather, Game Director for F1® 2019. “I look forward to sharing the award with everyone at the studio in recognition of all their hard work, dedication and passion.”
With the longest development cycle of any F1® game, F1® 2019 features several firsts for the series with a fully playable 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship™, Career Mode driver transfers, and all new contract signings that are based on performance.
Recently announced was the news that Codemasters has recently extended its partnership with Formula One Management to continue exclusively making F1® games until 2025.
