  • After purchasing the Deluxe Version on Steam, the 18,000 Pitcoins are not awarded

Please accept our apologies for this issue, which is due to technical changes made to the server configuration. We have identified the cause and already have a fix in test. Once we have thoroughly tested this fix and deployed it, your Pitcoins will automatically be awarded to your account – no action will be needed on your part.

We will update this FAQ page, once the issue has been resolved.

  • The game has an audio stutter in all game modes on Xbox One

We are currently investigating this issue, which only occurs after plugging in the Xbox One Official Chat Headset into the controller. Unplugging the headset should eliminate the problem, whilst we look into a more permanent resolution.

  • The game crashes with an EGO dumper error on a PC with Intel Graphics.

Intel Graphics GPUs are not officially supported by the game, so we are unable to guarantee performance on these cards. Please ensure that you have the very latest drivers for your graphics chip from the link below, as this may allow the game to run…

  • It is not possible to set the two-player career mode to ‘realistic performance’ – it remains set on ‘equal performance’.

This issue is resolved in version 1.05.

Until 1.05 is released on Xbox, it is possible to workaround the problem as follows…

The “Host” of the two-player career should go to:

    1. Multiplayer > Social Play > Create Custom Game > Choose ‘No (Open)’
    2. Lobby > Settings > Lobby Options
    3. Change car category > F1 2021, then change the car performance to ‘realistic’
    4. Exit to the main menu
    5. Now load back to the two-player career
  • There is no force feedback when using a Thrustmaster wheel

The development team are currently investigating this issue, and we will update this FAQ when we have more news.

In the meantime, make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers and firmware for the device from Thrustmaster’s website.

If playing on PC, you should also ensure that no schemes or profiles are running for your controller. We recommend that you also check Steam’s controller settings (Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller settings) and make sure all boxes are unticked.

  • When starting the game the message “Voice Control Unavailable” appears

Due to technical limitations, the only platforms that have voice commands supported in F1 2021 are PC and PS4. Xbox and PS5 users will not be able to use voice commands.

If playing on PC, please ensure that you have correctly configured Windows to use Speech Recognition (details below)…

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17208/windows-10-use-speech-recognition

Also ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your sound device(s) from the manufacturer’s website.

  • Will other circuits be added to the game if the calendar changes due to COVID?

No. We have aligned our game to the confirmed schedule for the start of the F1® 2021 season. The three new circuits, Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah will be available to all players as free post-launch content.

  • Does F1 2021 have cross play and cross save functionality?

Cross play works between the respective family of devices; PS4-PS5 and Xbox One-Series X/S (e.g. if you have a PS5 you will be able to play against PS4 players but not Xbox players). Cross save will work for Xbox consoles only, although online progression will carry over across both Xbox and PlayStation.

We are unable to confirm any plans, at the moment, to add additional crossplay support.
