F1 2017 is the most complete FORMULA ONE game ever. Check out our new trailer to see why!

August 3rd, 2017 by codemasters

Today we release the latest gameplay trailer for F1™ 2017, the official videogame of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, showcasing the extensive Career Mode that makes it the most complete game in the franchise’s history. The new trailer can be viewed right here:

F1 2017 has a massively expanded Career Mode that introduces invitational events at key points during the regular F1 season, where you will get to drive 12* classic F1 cars in a host of different events including overtake challenges, pursuit events, checkpoint, and time attack challenges. The classic cars are also playable in all other areas of the game, and can be raced as both single and multi-class races.

In addition to the invitational events, the Career Mode offers a huge amount of extra depth with 115 possible Research and Development upgrades (over 4 ½ times as many as in F1 2016), new practice programmes to master, as well as increased importance being given to the management and reliability of your car’s engine and gearbox elements.

As well as the 20 official circuits from the current season, F1 2017 introduces four new shortened circuits at Britain, Bahrain, USA and Japan, while also allowing players to take on the iconic Monaco street circuit at night, complete with stunning visuals.

Lee Mather, Creative Director, says: “The Career Mode was a big hit last year and we are building on those incredibly strong foundations to create an even deeper, more rounded experience for F1 2017. We have added female driver avatars, new paddock locations and a new character as well as greatly increasing the scope for developing your team and car. All of this, we feel, combined with the addition of the iconic classic cars this year, means that F1 2017 offers gamers the ultimate F1 experience yet.”

F1™ 2017 – Born To… Make History. F1 2017’s first trailer is here!

July 27th, 2017 by codemasters

With the imminent launch of F1™ 2017, the official videogame of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, we have today released the latest gameplay trailer which showcases how the game spans the history of the sport and highlights several new features. F1 2017 not only allows players to drive the latest cars on the grid, but also gives them access to 12* iconic classics.

Watch the brand new trailer now:

As well as the mixture of the thrilling new and nostalgic cars, keen observers will notice that players can now race the iconic street circuit in Monaco at night for the first time in the series.

Lee Mather, Creative Director, says: “We know our fans have loved seeing the classic cars being revealed in the recent weeks, but we know they also want to see the new cars in action as well. The 2017 cars present their own unique challenge as they are incredibly fast but wider and heavier than before, therefore we have had to completely rework the physics system to refine the balance between aerodynamics and tyre grip.

Lee continued: “Taking on Monaco is always a test of your skills and now we have added the ability to take to these iconic streets at night in both modern day and classic F1 cars. We think our fans are going to love it.”

In addition to the 20 official circuits from the current season, and Monaco at night, players can also take on four brand new short circuits at Britain, Bahrain, USA and a soon to be announced track.

*Consumers who pre-order or purchase ‘Day One’ copies of F1 2017 will have exclusive access to the iconic 1988 McLaren MP4/4, as part of the ‘F1 2017 Special Edition.’ [territories to insert live retail links here]. First Micro Machines World Series gameplay trailer released

April 19th, 2017 by codemasters

Codemasters & Koch Media today released the first gameplay trailer for the hotly anticipated return of the classic gaming franchise Micro Machines, ahead of the release on PlayStation® 4, Xbox One and Steam (PC) on 23rd June. You can watch the miniature mayhem unfold in the first Micro Machines World Series gameplay trailer below, or play it at www.micromachinesgame.com.

Whether driving a SPY CAR destroying a HOVERCRAFT with a NERF Blaster in the Games Room, or a DUMP TRUCK blowing up a TANK with a Dynamite Launcher in the Garden, Micro Machines World Series will have players of all ages smiling from ear-to-ear while delivering absolute carnage.

Executive Producer, Chris Gray said: “Micro Machines World Series is a fresh new take on the franchise that is great fun for previous players and those new to Micro Machines. It’s a firm fan favourite and we are delighted to be bringing it to the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Chris continued: “In addition to the return of the classic Race and Elimination modes, we are extremely excited by the new Battle Arenas. Having 12 players in the same match, all fighting it out with a variety of vehicles and crazy weapons is great fun. Gamers are going to love it.”

Players will take on a whole new way of racing in Micro Machines World Series. Not only will players be able to burn rubber across the Kitchen table in familiar 4 player ‘sofa style’ local races, but also enter into larger 12 player on-line races. So many players on one screen seriously increases the challenge, and all 12 vehicles jostling for position and hurtling toward each corner makes it even more perilous and exciting.

In addition to the code racing modes are the Battle Modes, which pit up to 12 players into the same arena for frantically competitive multiplayer games including CAPTURE THE FLAG and TERRITORY as well as 6v6 TEAM DEATHMATCH. All of these are set to the interactive backdrop of 15 battle arenas including The Laser Lab, Buzzsaw Battle and negotiating the HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS board without being eaten.

Players can personalise their Battles with 12 new vehicles including the SPY CAR, HOVERCRAFT, MONSTER TRUCK or G I JOE H.I.S.S TANK, each with their own strengths and weapons. Players will set off trying to crush, smash and destroy opponents with numerous new weapons including the Dynamite Launcher, Tidal Wave, Cobra Turret and NERF Blasters. Every vehicle also has a level of customisation with new skins, completely changing the original look. The inclusion of Emotes, Victory Poses and Grave Stamps also add to the camaraderie and bragging rights at the end of a match.

Adding to the hilarity and fun of Micro Machines, the UK release is narrated by the one and only Brian Blessed. In his own, recognisable and unique style Brian bursts forth announcing the start of races as well as “ENEMY FLAG TAKEN” and “MICRO MACHINES IS ALIVE!”

DiRT 4 will race to the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC in June 2017. Featuring classic rally racing that continues to build on the foundations set by the Colin McRae Rally games, the bruising contests from the official FIA World Rallycross Championship, the crazy battles of racing trucks and buggies, and the outrageous fun of open events in Joyride, players will face the challenges from as far apart as Australia, Spain and California in a truly global sport.
